Cannot login to Google+
Follow these exact instructions for Google Chrome
- Open Google Chrome and press Ctrl+Shift+N to open a new "Incognito Window"
- Go to https://accounts.google.com/ServiceLogin?hl=en&service=oz&continue=https://plus.google.com
- Press F12 and choose the "Resources" tab at the bottom
- Select "Cookies" and "accounts.google.com"
- Highlight and copy down the GAPS cookie, it will look something like this: 1:z1243498373svfTQZN-iClkd8GQ:Hd7d7djd-ldklD73k
- Login using the special Google Page account details you setup previously, answer any verification questions.
- Important: Now go back to WordPress > Simple Social > Google+ Settings and delete the existing Google+ account that is having problems
- Click Add New to create a new account, enter the Google Page login details AND the GAPS cookie from the browser.
- Click Save and Connect.
- It should work.
- If it doesn't, send through a support ticket with all the details so we can investigate and fix it up for you.
Follow these instructions from Firefox
- Open Firefox, click the menu and choose "New Private Window"
- Go to https://accounts.google.com/ServiceLogin?hl=en&service=oz&continue=https://plus.google.com
- Press F12 and click on the "Storage" tab (if you don't see Storage, click the Settings cog icon and tick the "Storage" option)
- Select "Cookies" and "accounts.google.com"
- Highlight and copy down the GAPS cookie, it will look something like this: 1:z1243498373svfTQZN-iClkd8GQ:Hd7d7djd-ldklD73k
- Login using the special Google Page account details you setup previously, answer any verification questions.
- Important: Now go back to WordPress > Simple Social > Google+ Settings and delete the existing Google+ account that is having problems
- Click Add New to create a new account, enter the Google Page login details AND the GAPS cookie from the browser.
- Click Save and Connect.
- It should work.
