Plesk Error “553 sorry, that domain isn’t in my list of allowed rcpthosts; no valid cert for gatewaying (#5.7.1)”

Got this error when sending mail to one of the domains hosted on a Plesk server:

“553 sorry, that domain isn’t in my list of allowed rcpthosts; no valid cert for gatewaying (#5.7.1)”

for some weird reason the domain name did not exist in /var/qmail/control/rcpthosts

logging into plesk and disabling mail server for that domain then re-enabling it fixed the problem, but I was worried others had mysteriously been removed as well.

run the plesk mchk tool to rebuild the rcpthosts file correctly:

$ /usr/local/psa/admin/sbin/mchk
